Say hi to this isn’t the biggest regret of my life.

1. Tattoos are badass and I love them and have always wanted one.
2. This is my tribute to my mom who died of cancer on March 10th, 2009. Hence, 3 10 9.
3. Roman numerals look more badass than regular numbers.
4. Yes, ironically my mother would have flipped the shit, but I guess it’s sort of funny last rebellion out of utter love. I used to think she disliked me because we always fought. But that’s just a silly mother and daughter thing. I love her so much and I wished I realized just how much she meant to me. How much I want to talk to her about HER. Mothers tend to sacrifice so much of themselves that we miss getting to know the real them (not entirely sure that made sense). Anyhow, I stand by what I said in the beginning about how this isn’t the biggest regret of my life. This shouldn’t even be considered a regret. The biggest regret of my life was not being there when she died. Some of you may know, but umm yeah she was in HK for treatment and I stayed here because I was in grade 12 and let’s just say, university or work or… NOTHING IS AS IMPORTANT THAN SPENDING TIME WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE.

My tattoo is of little significance. I draw on my wrist all the time anyway, not like you criticized me before. So don’t try and make me feel guilty about getting it. I love it and if you’re worried I won’t be able to find a job, well honestly I’m not really worried about that. Can’t see myself sitting behind a desk as a lawyer or doctor or anything so serious. So just chill. It’s fine.

There are always two things that need to be done before I can preach.

1) I gotta sort out my biz with God. Can’t ignore shit. Gotta come home.

2) Gotta let the text work on me. Gotta let it transform me and speak to me.

This always takes most of the week and leaves me writing the actual manuscript on Saturday nights.

btw. these are no guarantees that the sermon will be at all interesting, entertaining, transformational, informative, instructional or whatever standard we use. but it helps me be real and at least one person was preached to this week, if no other, myself.
